I feel proud and elated to be associated with a more than a hundred year old organization, the DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic).  

The words Anglo and Vedic are by themselves self explicable that the educational philosophy is to amalgamate the virtues of western scientific temper and the spiritualism of India. Education is to be one that man making that is harmonious development of a child in respect to their morality, humanity, honesty, character health etc.

Here at Konta great efforts are put on values.  The children here show enough anxiety and keenness to learn.  Many of the parents are illiterate and have no idea on what way they should guide the children.

There is a famous saying children are like clay in the potter’s hand who gives the required shape. In the same way at Konta the staff pays enough attention to give customize the educational transaction suiting the class’s orientation.  Minimum learning levels are earmarked and the specific activities pertaining to that are taken up. 

Since 2016, wherein DAV Mukhyamantri Public School has taken the charge of the educating students I am able to see good change.  Students are able to understand and speak basic English and few have excelled.

In the year 2018-19 CBSE class X examination 100% pass result was achieved and that in the Class XII 75% pass result achieved.  Apart from academics students have started showing their talents by winning prizes at District level debate elocution essay writings. 

We have still a long way to go challenges are many. DAV has always produced great alumni having national as well as international reputation viz. Shri Ramnath Kovind President of India, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee, Kapil Dev, Yuvraj Singh Kalpana Chawla, Hargobind Khurana to name a few stalwarts. 

It’s a great onus for every DAV institution to upgrade to new standards thereby keep setting new benchmarks for students with remarkable discipline and talent.  Its not one day’s job or has any shortcut to achieve at an immediate stance. 

Every step of progress should have sound footing and thence the process for irreversible progress shall be gradual.
